Belper Sub-Aqua Club was formed in 1974 and currently comprises of around 24 members of mixed age and abilities.

We meet every Wednesday evening at the Belper Leisure Centre for swimming and diver training, and then afterwards in the Greyhound Pub on Whitemoor Lane.

 Try Dives

To have a "Try Dive", you will need to be over 16 years of age (or over age 12 and accompanied by an adult) and be able to swim.

The Diving

The club has two 6.25 metre rigid inflatable boats (RIB's) each with a 150 hp outboard engine, DSC VHF radio, GPS Plotter navigation and echo sounder. Safety equipment in the form of distress flares, first aid kit and emergency breathing oxygen is also carried on each boat.

The club owns six sets of training equipment available for use by club members undergoing their pool training and early open water dives. We are not a Diving School, but will provide you with all the training you require to become a BSAC qualified diver. In addition, you will learn boat handling and navigation skills.
